The distance between homes varies from home site to home site. The minimum distance is twenty-one feet.

What amenities are there?

The common areas include: Close proximity to Lake and Lake Access, Private gated and guarded community, Club House, basketball court, pickle ball court, horseshoe pits, walking trails, fire pits, outdoor barbeque pits, reserved parking spaces, multiple reserved boat slips.

What's included with the $700/month Lot Lease?

The lot lease includes access and use to all the common areas. Utilities (water, gas, electric included), community landscaping, trash services and common area maintenance services.

Is the property right on the lake?

No, the lake (Cherokee Cove) is within walking distance.

Could I Airbnb my cabin?

Yes, the current by-laws allow for homeowners to Airbnb their cabins.

Is there security on the premises?


Could I park and leave my boat in the driveway next to my cabin after we leave and return for our next stay?

Yes, in accordance with your lease agreement.

What are the prices for docking my boat?

Sugarmill Creek at Lake Burton has 10 boat docks available to residences for an additional fee. Please inquire with your community associates for more information on the boat dock pricing and availability.

Is there dry docking/storage?

Yes, please inquire with your community associates for details.

Could I put one of my own cabins on the property or must I purchase from Stone Canyon Cabins?

No, the Sugar Mill Creek at Lake Burton property is only available to homeowners who purchase a cottage from Stone Canyon Cabins.

Is there wifi at the property?

Cable and Wifi Utilities are the responsibility of the homeowner.

Are the homes permanently parked on the lot or could they be moved?

As a homeowner you can purchase your home and you can move it under the terms of your lot lease agreement with Sugarmill Creek Resort at Lake Burton.
